.: Travel in Rome
When you travel in Rome, you might do so via Taxi, Tram,
Subway/Underground, Train or Bus. Public Transport in
Rome is pretty straight forward however there are a couple
of things you might want to keep in mind when you travel
in Rome. Starting when you arrive in Rome, be it at the
airport or the railway station you want to pay attention
to the taxis drivers meters. If you dont excatly know
the way, and what tourist does, and you are not fixing
the price before you enter the taxi the chances are 50
to 50 or more that you have to pay a higher price then
you should. So just like in any other big city you dont
know be aware of the first rule regarding taxis and their
drivers. Dont trust them at first hand. Subways, Buses and Train are easy in Rome. There are only
two functional Subway lines, A and B. Just make sure you stamp your ticket before you enter the bus.
Its only 1 Euro and you wont overdraw your vacation budget with that but save the risk of being intimidated
and treated like a "high profile" criminal when caught without a bus ticket.
