.: Rome City Tour
Besides organized city tours and trips in Rome there are different popular public means of transport which provide visitors with an additional alternative to view the city
and its historical monuments for very little money. There are two busses that lead straight through
St. Peters from the main train station Termini; bus 64 with 18 stops and the much faster Express bus
40 with only five stops. The advantage with these busses is you pay only 1 Euro and view Piazza Replica,
Piazza Venezia, passing by the famous Via del Corso II down Vittorio Emanuele II. When you see to your
right Castelo St. Angelo and you almost arrived at St. Peters and the Vatican City. With the tram 30 you
can similarly combine a cosy little sight seeing tour with a very cost-effective cheap tram trip across
the city. The tram 30 trip starts at Vialle delle Belli Arti passing the park of Villa Borghese, and reaching
finally the Ostiense area. This very convenient tram line shows the traveler a very pretty part of the city.
Starting point is Piazza Thorwaldsen opposite the Galleria dell'Arte Moderna. And the little cheap city tour
will end at Piazza Ostiense, where you have the possibility to switch trams. From there the tram 19 will
bring you a couple of stops further towards the other side of Tiber and the Trastevere area.
When travelling around Rome city center and you are looking for a romantic way to get around in
your vacation, you can rent an old fashion coach plus tourist guide.
