.: Accommodation in Rome
Perhaps many of you have been already to Rome and know the huge variety of accommodation in Rome:
1 to 5 star hotels, Bed and Breakfast, apartments, holiday houses just like in any other big city and yet naming
one type of accommodation and its quality may have a different matching from city to city and country to country.
In Italy and certainly in Rome you may arrive in Rome a day early or you change your travel plans in the last minute
for private or whatever reasons. Experienced travelers know the unexpected can alway happen and it is not often the unexpected
the add the extra bit of excitement to the holiday trip. So while enjoying your advanture still try and not follow the guys standing around the
Termini central railway station of Rome offering you the "best offer hotel accommodation". Always remember all these "offical tourist guides" or whatever
they call themselfs are there to make money, they get paid a up to 20% commission from the pirce of your hotel costs per night.
So easy to understand even for the so called "naive" tourist that it is in this persons interest to try and charge you
the highest price possible. A good advise and better way to do this is to take a little bit of time walking directly into one of the many
hotels around the station and ask for availability and price. Get in a couple of offers and then make up your mind.
But notice that if you arrive in the very last minute during high season spring or autum you might not have a lot of choice
so for Rome its really important to try and book ahead!
